Dactylografies est une conversation entre Isabelle Michaud et Jonathan Brodbeck. Le duo mère-fils ont créé des tableaux illustrant les liens les unissant. Jon par l’écriture et Isabelle par la peinture.
Dactylografies opens the door to the conversations between Isabelle Michaud and Jonathan Brodbeck. This mother and son team worked to create works that tell their every day stories. Isabelle did it through painting and Jonathan with writing. Using an old typewriter, Jonathan wrote about his every day life, his interests, his favourite tv shows and the start of his Senior Year. Isabelle took these writings and manipulated the text to be introduced and balanced with other formal elements: the pixel, the closed boxes, the clouds, the plant-like and sometimes spine-like typewriting features. The letter, the typewriter, symbols of a time far away when the analog are reminders of the physical\reality never being very far away.
